The Five Rise Beer Festival is hoping to provide around 70 beers, ciders and perry’s; some from a selection of Local Breweries and others from Breweries further afield.  A list of the selected beers will be listed here nearer the Festival Date, when the beers have been confirmed.

11 Dark Star Hophead 3.8 Pale An extremely clean drinking pale golden ale with a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from the Cascade hops. This beer is full bodied and full flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a favourite session beer.
12 American Pale 4.7 Pale Brewed with American West Coast style yeast along with Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops. The low coloured Concerto malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to compliment the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.
13 Hawkshead Windermere Pale 3.5 Pale A highly refreshing, very pale ale, bursting with hop character and a fine fruity aroma. Brewed with soft Lakeland water, Maris Otter malted barley and full flower hops – blending three traditional English hops and the modern American hop, Citra.
14 La’al Lager 4 Pale Very crisp and clean with a delicate spicy, herbal bitterness which sweeps across the palate. On the nose expect subtle floral notes and enticing aromas of lime. Unfiltered and unfined this beer pours slightly hazy and is also vegan friendly.
15 Magic Rock Ringmaster 3.9 Pale We use plenty of US hops to give the beer a floral/grassy aroma and lip smacking citrus flavours which combine with a defined malty character to make a magically moreish and quenching beer.

23 UBU 4.5 Golden Award winning Pure UBU is a well-balanced, full flavoured amber ale, named after our faithful canine friend, Tess. Often found lazing around the farm, she affectionately earnt the nickname ‘Useless Bloody Urchin’, shortened to UBU and a beer was named in her honour.

25 Salopian Lemon Dream 4.5 Pale A shimmering golden ale that is brewed using organic lemons which adds beautifully subtle zesty aromas and a citrus filled fruity finish
26 Thornbridge, Bakewell, Derbyshire Jaipur IPA 5.9 IPA A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.
27 Tiny Rebel Cwtch 4.6 Amber Probably the best word ever. Cwtch (rhymes with butch) can mean either cuddle or cubbyhole. Grab a glass, relax and cwtch up with this untraditional Welsh red ale – a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops.
28 Pump Up the Jam 5 Pale Pump up the Jam combines the sweet jam flavours with a sweet bready malt base. It’s a jam doughnut in a pint glass. No word of a lie. Imagine the best of a jam doughnut with the best of a beer. Chill it to perfection and fill a pint glass with it.

32 Wild Weather Full of beans 5.0 Dark A dark chocolate stout with flavours of Irish Whiskey, cream and coffee. Brewed with specialty German chocolate malts and aged on freshly ground, cold steeped Arabica beans.
33 Still Mooing 4.2 Simcoe hopped American Amber, copper coloured with notes of caramel, biscuit and orange.
34 Wold Top Against the Grain 4.5 Pale Very hoppy aroma with lemon on the nose.  A good level of bitterness and pleasant warmth lasting well. Light and yet full flavoured, a good hoppy edge, refreshing and a very good session beer.
35 Wolds Way 4 Amber A golden pale ale, triple hopped to give a fruity bitterness.

Golden Goose 4.5 Golden Self-descriptive in colour, a slightly stronger ale but you wouldn’t know it, with an incredibly smooth finish and wonderful hop aromas.
Goose Eye Bitter Bitter Our traditional session ale, with a chestnut hue this bitter is pleasing to the eye as well as to the palette; a delightful flavour produced by three varieties of hop.
Chinook Blonde 4.2 Blonde Our number one seller, bursting at the seams with American Chinook hops, which provide it with one of the most distinctive and captivating tastes you might ever try. With copious amounts of flavour and an abundance or aroma.
Pommie’s Revenge 5.2 Bitter An all English extra strong single malt bitter, brewed in the traditional manner with only the best English ingredients. Be careful not to have too many!
Over and Stout 5.2 Dark An excessively dark stout, strong in content and strong in flavour. With the smoothness of a dark mild but the strength to wake the dead.

Thistly Cross Strawberry Cider Dunbar, Scotland 4 Our real strawberry infused cider is matured with masses of pressed Scottish strawberries to make a full bodied fruit driven thirst quenching drink.
Biddenden Vineyards Bushels Cider Kent 6 Medium dry in flavour, Bushels is created using the traditional Barnes’ family recipe produced using a blend of Kentish culinary and dessert apples.
Hecks Medium/Sweet Perry Somerset 6 Traditional perry from Somerset. Medium sweet to taste. One of the few perries made outside the Three Counties, it has a sweet delicate taste that rivals the finest Herefordshire producers.
